Perma Blue® Liquid Gun Blue provides great blueing to metal that has already been thoroughly cleaned and is free of rust. Liquid Gun Blue, but will build up a dense finish.

As long as you follow the instructions exactly it works well, but might require several coats to achieve the desired depth and uniformity of finish. There are plenty of helpful videos on YouTube.
The instructions were simple. The finish was easily obtained. Easy to use.
I purchased this product to refubish the blueing on some handtools (a pair of vintage Eclipse Tap wrenches )
Providing you have a good oil/grease free surface this stuff works great.. 3-4 coats gave me a nice even finish and the tools look like new. Very pleased .. I'm sure many of my other handtools will now get a renewed lease of life
