The Hardy Lightweight 150 Anniversary (Featherweight size) is a beautiful creation, and sits very well on my 3-weight river rod. Although there's no exposed spool rim that can be 'palmed' (like on Hardy's Marquis or Duchess reels), the click-check is reasonably strong and all you need for small-stream fishing. It's a pity many will buy this reel purely as a collector's piece because it deserves to be enjoyed doing what it's made for, and I'm confident that it will outlive me!
